As Camera Operator on Woe Is Me, I helped bring this visually raw and emotionally charged short film to life. The story explores themes of grief, identity, and human vulnerability through an intimate visual style that blurs the line between realism and poetic cinema.
Working closely with the Director of Photography and Director, my focus was on capturing authentic, cinematic imagery that reflected the protagonist’s emotional journey. Each frame was crafted to enhance the film’s tone — using natural light, fluid camera movement, and precise framing to deepen audience connection.
Woe Is Me premiered as part of a QUT student showcase, demonstrating emerging Australian filmmaking talent and creative collaboration.
